Remis: Traveling around vs settling down

Audio herunterladen: MP3 | AAC | OGG | OPUS

I have the pleasure of hosting Remis, a tattoo artist with over 20 years of experience who currently resides in Lithuania. Remis starts off by sharing his thoughts on tattoo conventions and the convention culture. He believes that before COVID-19, there were too many conventions, which destroyed the uniqueness and value of attending such events.

Remis then talks about his first trip to Ireland back in 2005 and how he got into the tattoo industry. He shares that he worked in tattoo supplies for a time before finally transitioning to becoming a full-time tattoo artist. When he's not tattooing, Remis enjoys spending time fishing and engaging in water sports like kite surfing and stand-up paddleboarding.

The conversation then shifts towards Remis' work ethics and work-life balance, which he believes is essential for any tattoo artist to maintain a high level of creativity and productivity. As a child, Remis wanted to be a photographer, and he now pursues street photography as an art hobby. He also talks about his motorcycle and the differences between Lithuania and Germany.

Remis shares some insights into booking client appointments and time management, which he believes is crucial for maintaining a healthy work-life balance. He also talks about using mid-journey for art and inspiration and how he documents his creative ideas and processes.

In conclusion, Remis is an experienced tattoo artist with a passion for his craft, art, and outdoor activities. To see more of Remis' work and stay updated with his latest endeavors, follow him on Instagram @remistattoo.
